It brings the model that Egypt Elite has refined over more than a decade – a hybrid of full-service travel agency and attentive host, built around continuity of service and ethical, uplifting work with local teams – to private travel around Turkiye.

John Navarre
Founder & CEO of Turkiye Elite and Egypt Elite
John Navarre is a Spanish-American entrepreneur and businessman who has been involved with the Middle East for nearly 25 years. He first moved to the region in 2003 to study Arabic language and Middle Eastern culture at the American University in Cairo, and went on to receive a Bachelor’s in International Studies from the University of South Carolina and a Master’s of Public Administration from the University of North Georgia.
In 2012 he founded Egypt Elite, built on the conviction that there were better and more ethical ways to run a travel company: to deliver greater value than guests expect, to protect visitors from the scams that too often spoil a trip of a lifetime, and to make local staff part of a team they can be proud of. Egypt Elite has since become the top Western-led travel company in Egypt, and Turkiye Elite carries the same approach to Turkiye.
John splits his time between his home in southern Spain and his office in Cairo, and counts Istanbul among his favourite cities in the world. He is a dual citizen of Spain and the United States and speaks English, Spanish, and Egyptian Arabic. Away from work he can be found reading historical non-fiction, writing about travel, or spending time with his dog.
